I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Georgia, currently completing my internship with StorieBrook. My path began with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from California State University, Long Beach. After graduation, I worked as a stylist assisting women navigating significant life transitions, such as new motherhood or re-entering the workforce. Through these experiences, I realized that while helping women feel confident in their appearance was rewarding, true transformation starts from within. This insight inspired me to shift my focus from external appearances to internal healing, leading me to pursue a career in mental health counseling.
In my therapeutic practice, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and empowered. I am particularly passionate about working with those struggling with life transitions, self-esteem, body image, grief, anxiety, and depression. While I am still learning my approach, I want to emphasize the importance of the therapeutic relationship in fostering growth and resilience. Additionally, I have a deep love for animals and am pursuing specialized training in animal-assisted therapy. I believe that incorporating therapy animals into counseling sessions can enhance the healing process by providing comfort, building trust, and facilitating emotional expression.
Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, exploring new restaurants, visiting museums, traveling, going for nature walks, attending sound baths, and engaging in meaningful conversations. I also enjoy arts and crafts, painting, and photography.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your counseling journey and am honored to be part of your process toward growth and healing.

"As a a therapist, I am...right here with you. My primary goal in therapy is to build an authentic therapeutic relationship with you. This relationship is grounded in curiosity, safety, and sincere desire to support you in your mental health journey. From this space, we can explore the areas and concerns bringing you to therapy. I love using emotion to help uncover new aspects of experiences. Often we come to therapy puzzled, lost, or without direction. My hope is that in our work together the pieces will slowly come together and, in time, you’ll find new direction and hope in life.
I enjoy working with individuals struggling to find or establish their place in the world. Whether that be working to integrate parts of their identity, exploring new identities, navigating loss, or processing trauma. I love supporting clients in finding their own unique balance in life. While this translates to any period or population, I have a special interest in rural populations, veterans, trauma, LGBTQ+, college transitioning and family-related challenges.
"When I'm not therapist-ing, I am...doing many mundanely beautiful daily tasks, traveling to see extended family, wrestling with my pup, playing peek-a-bo, or brainstorming the next vacation/road trip. I also spend time looking forward to my doctoral student check list shortening and having free weekends again!

Our practicum students focus on providing low-cost therapy, and so are not in-network for any insurance providers. This means they cannot bill your insurance company directly for your sessions, however they often provide services at a similar rate to insurance co-pays. Like all of our providers, our practicum students can provide a receipt (often referred to as a "superbill") for any services. These receipts contain all the details you need to request reimbursement for OUT-of-NETWORK costs from your insurance provider.
If you are engaging with us for services for which we cannot bill insurance, or with a provider who cannot bill your insurance), this is the best way to work with your insurance company to get this covered.
Because of our small size and billing arrangements with Headway, StorieBrook CANNOT bill insurance for:
Assessments (including pre-surgical, gender affirming care, neurotype, or any other time limited services
Support groups (or any other non-therapy services)
Relationship therapy or counseling
